Welcome to the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2010!
Canada has a long history of participating in international expositions, dating back to 1851. Canada and Canadians have enjoyed both hosting and taking part in these global celebrations of innovation, creativity, and shared knowledge. The legacies of Expo ’67 in Montreal and Expo ’86 in Vancouver live on in those cities.
The Canada Pavilion at Expo 2010 builds on this legacy. I welcome you to visit the Canada Pavilion and to celebrate the Canadian sense of community, diversity, and creativity. Indeed, the pavilion’s theme of ‘The Living City: inclusive, sustainable, creative’ is expressed in the many interactive activities and performances both inside and outside the pavilion.
I hope you will agree the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2010 is a “must-see.” I invite you to visit us and to enjoy Cirque du Soleil’s imaginative design and the hospitality of our hosting staff.
