September 9, 2010 - Man in Motion Day is celebrated at the Canada Pavilion on September 9, 2010. Mr. Rick Hansen began his historic journey in Vancouver 25 years ago to raise awareness of the potential of people with disabilities. His world tour visited 34 countries and included a trek on the Great Wall of China. In 1988, Mr. Hansen served as Commissioner General of the Canada Pavilion at Expo 1988 in Brisbane, Australia. In this photo, Mark H. Rowswell, Commissioner General of the Canada Pavilion, presents Mr. Hansen with a commemorative plaque in recognition of Man in Motion Day at the Canada Pavilion.
