September 1, 2010 - Jane Batty, Deputy Mayor, City of Edmonton, leads celebrations of Edmonton Day at the Canada Pavilion. The Edmonton EXPO 2017 Bid Committee has selected Energy and Our Planet for the theme of the bid. In addition to speeches, Edmonton Day at the Canada Pavilion was headlined by Alberta's own award-winning music star Paul Brandt and Harpe Jazz, an Edmonton based trio that fuses jazz improvisation wtih global rhythms.
