July 17, 2010 - Canada's Bay of Fundy was recognized at the 2010 World Exposition in Shanghai, China on July 17, 2010, with the declaration of "Bay of Fundy Day" at the Canada Pavilion. The Bay of Fundy is Canada's remaining nominee in the global New7Wonders of Nature campaign: a worldwide quest to discover the world's new natural wonders.

A commemorative plaque was presented to Bernard Weber, President and Founder of the New7Wonders (centre right) by Deputy Commissioner General Wayne Scott (centre left). They are accompanied by RCMP officer, Shawn Huygen, and a Canada Pavilion hosting staff member from Moncton, New Brunswick, Samuel Saint-Pierre Thériault.
