Partners

Partnerships are a vital part of Canada’s participation in international expositions. Input and support from a broad range of Canadian organizations is an essential component to presenting Canada and Canadians to the international public.

The International Expositions Branch of the Department of Canadian Heritage is currently developing an approach to building partnerships for Canada’s participation in Expo 2010, including outlining opportunities for public and private sector groups, as well as not-for-profit organizations.

In addition to strengthening trade, investment, and technology partnerships with China, Canada’s participation in Expo 2010 will also provide an opportunity to promote arts and culture. It will also provide a platform to showcase the Canadian model of openness, equality, and respect for diversity.

Strong potential for Expo partnerships exists with organizations that tie into the overall theme of Expo 2010 – Better City, Better Life, as well as the Canada Pavilion theme: The Living City: inclusive, sustainable, creative.
