Tanya TagaqTanya Tagaq (Nunavut)
In just six years, Inuk throat singer Tanya Tagaq Gillis has brought an ancient Inuit vocal game to the heights of the experimental music scene. She has collaborated with Bjork and the Kronos Quartet and toured with some of the world's leading artists. She was nominated for a JUNO Award in 2009.
